​​​​​​About the Opportunity

We are looking for an AV&C Technical – Level 1 professional to join a long-term project for a European institution in Brussels.

The role focuses on providing first-level technical support and proximity services for audiovisual and conference systems used in professional meeting and conference rooms. You will support the preparation of meetings, assist users when required, troubleshoot technical issues and manage audiovisual incidents in an international and multicultural environment.

Your Role:

As an AV&C Technical – Level 1, you will:

  • Provide first-level technical support for audiovisual equipment in meeting and conference rooms.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AV&C systems.

  • Set up and configure interpretation and conference systems.

  • Configure and operate complex audiovisual and conference systems.

  • Prepare audiovisual equipment and meeting rooms before meetings and conferences.

  • Provide technical assistance during meetings when required.

  • Guide users in the correct use of audiovisual systems and equipment.

  • Manage AV-related incidents according to established internal procedures and workflows.

  • Document incidents, technical interventions and resolutions.

  • Organize and contribute to technical reporting.

  • Participate in user, service and project meetings.

  • Provide support from local or central control rooms when required.

The profile we are looking for:

  • Up to 3 years of relevant professional experience, including the third year.

  • Good knowledge of audiovisual, IT and multimedia technologies.

  • Experience with audiovisual systems used in professional meeting and conference environments.

  • Experience with video conferencing systems, DSP systems, corporate meeting solutions and streaming services.

  • Technical understanding of video conferencing systems, soft codecs, SIDP platforms and other remote meeting platforms.

  • Experience with ticketing or incident management software.

  • Ability to troubleshoot audiovisual equipment and identify technical issues efficiently.

  • Ability to work from both local and central control rooms.

  • Strong customer-service orientation and good communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment.

  • Ability to apply and maintain high-quality service standards.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous experience supporting meeting rooms, conference rooms or similar professional audiovisual environments.

  • Knowledge of microphones, loudspeakers, video displays, projectors, recording equipment and audio mixing systems.

  • Experience configuring and operating professional AV&C systems.

  • Familiarity with corporate videoconferencing and remote/hybrid meeting environments.

  • Ability to remain responsive and service-oriented when resolving incidents during meetings.

  • Strong team spirit and ability to collaborate with technical teams and end users.

Additional Information:

  • Location: Brussels, Belgium.

  • Working regime: Full-time..

  • Occasional work outside standard working hours may be required.

  • Availability after 17:00 may occasionally be required to ensure business continuity.
